Ignacia is the Technical Manager at VPDS, with a background in veterinary science and experience across wildlife, research and diagnostic laboratory settings. She completed a MPhil (Science) degree focused on Australian sea lion immunology and has a strong interest in clinical pathology, quality systems and laboratory service development. Ignacia has worked extensively in wildlife conservation, including several years in Patagonia (Chile) and is passionate about both animal health and conservation, bringing this broad perspective to her approach to diagnostic services. At VPDS, she focuses on optimising workflows, implementing standards and supporting high-quality diagnostics for clinicians. Outside of work, Ignacia enjoys staying active through running and soccer, and spending time outdoors with her family.
