We provide high-quality biopsy and necropsy services to the veterinary profession, supporting the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (UVTH) and private practices.
Our diagnostic service includes the processing and histopathological interpretation of biopsy and post-mortem specimens, using a range of histochemical and immunohistochemical techniques across a diverse range of species.
As a NATA-accredited laboratory, our service entails a strong review process, with all specimens being reviewed by multiple pathologists, with a strong focus on clear, personalised communication with referring veterinarians. Our specialist veterinary anatomical pathologists are available for comment on individual cases and can help veterinarians bring their clinical research to publication standard.
We also support researchers with histopathological processing, immunohistochemistry, and processing of unusual specimens, with a highly skilled technical staff available for consultation. The team is available for consultation about unusual or difficult specimens.
